Introduce compTIA and Security+

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), is a non-profit trade association, issuing vendor-neutral professional certifications in over 120 countries.

Security+ is compliant with ISO 17024 standards and approved by the US DoD to meet directive 8140/8570.01-M requirements. It establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role.

There are six domains that Security+ contains.

• 1. Threats, Attacks and Vulnerabilities
• 1. Technologies and Tools
• 1. Design and Architecture
• 1. Identity and Access Management
• 1. Risk Management
• 1. Cryptography and PKI

Preparing Security+ exam

• Read the book CompTIA Security+ SY0-501 Cert Guide (4th Edition)
• Read the note Professor Messer’s CompTIA Security+ Course Notes
• Do practise in Pearson Test Prep Pearson IT Certification
